Licensees who take an online MCE course will not be allowed to complete the course in less than 24-hours.
Courses taken for MCE credit contain security questions which are generate every 30 minutes and must be answered correctly within 5 minutes.
All Broker licensees must complete 15 hours of continuing education which must include 3 hours in Legal Update and 3 hours in TREC Ethics. Continuing Education must be completed no later than the expiration date of each license term.
*Note 1st time renewals require 90 hours of post-licensure education must be completed by the end of the second year of licensure.
Effective January 1, 2015, if the Commission records do not show that you have completed your continuing education at the time you submit your renewal application, you must pay a $200.00 deferral fee, or renew in inactive status. Paying the deferral fee will allow you to continue to be active in real estate activities and give you an additional 60 days from your expiration date to complete the continuing education requirements.

Roster Process: Rosters are submitted electronically every Thursday. Rosters are submitted for any CE course or QE course of 15 hours or less. Licensees are required to submit their certificates directly to the Commission for any QE courses longer than 30 hours. **If you need or want the roster submitted earlier than the scheduled date, there is a $10 rush fee for that service.**
