There is no limit to the number of CE hours that may be taken online.
The IREC requires a timing mechanism for all distance education courses to ensure that courses cannot be completed in less time than the approved credit hours. Therefore our courses will time out after 30 minutes of inactivity! Please note that a proctored exam is NOT required by IREC.
Only one final exam retake is allowed, if the final exam is not passed the second time, the licensee must retake the entire course and pass the final exam in order to receive credit .
Idaho's CE Requirement:
First renewal on active status only - 12 hours POST license (8-hr mandatory post license Fundamentals + one 4-hour Post license module of your choice) PLUS 2 different ID Commission core courses.
Subsequent renewals on active status: 12 hours of elective plus 2 different ID Commission core courses (mandatory credit).
Reminder: A Commission Core Course can only be taken one time to receive mandatory credit, you cannot repeat a core course from one cycle to the next.
Licensees are strongly encouraged to review their education history with IREC before purchasing any Core courses as duplicate credit cannot be given for any Core course that has previously been taken by the licensee.
Special education requirements apply to salesperson licensees renewing their license on active status for the first time, or those who need CE to activate their license for the first time. Salesperson licensees who fall into these categories should check with the Idaho Real Estate Commission for further information.

Roster Process: Rosters submitted electronically within 5 days of course completion. Rosters are submitted every Monday and Friday. **If you need or want the roster submitted earlier than the scheduled date, there is a $10 rush fee for that service.**
