There are no limits on the number of hours allowed to be taken online. However, the Alaska Real Estate Commission only allows a maximum of ten (10) continuing education hours per day (24-hour day).
All Alaska Real Estate Licensees must complete 20 continuing education hours every 24 months (except those licensed less than 90 days prior to expiration). Licensees expire on January 31st of even years. Eight (8) hours of core curriculum is required.
Core topics for 2016-2018 licensing period are: Situational Ethics – 2 hours, Contract Law– 2 hours, Consumer Protection (to include TRID) – 2 hours, and Practical Licensee Relationship Disclosure – 2 hours.
