Residential Real Estate Council Meetings and Fees
Why is there now a fee for RRC meetings that used to be complimentary?
Due to the rising costs of hosting meetings, especially in the metropolitan area of Washington, DC, RRC has introduced a nominal fee of $200. This fee helps us cover the expenses associated with our comprehensive programming, which includes complimentary WIFI, open committee meetings, a robust business program, a welcome reception, continental breakfasts, and light refreshments. Implementing this fee is essential to maintain the high quality of our meetings and to keep costs manageable for our attendees.
Has
RRC ever charged a fee for the Washington DC meetings?
Over
the course of the past 10 years, fees were charged for RRC meetings (2016-2019
and 2021). Other institutes, societies and councils charge nominal fees
for governance, social, and education meetings.
Will
there be enhanced programming as a result of the fee?
Yes!
A Lead Gen course will be delivered by RRC's world-class instructors.
Enhanced food and beverage options will be made available as well.
What if I serve on a committee and that my attendance to these meetings is mandatory? Certain groups and individuals receive complimentary registration due to their role in the meetings. Contact your staff counterpart for questions.
I'm only interested in the Member Update for the election candidates. Do I need to pay the fee to evaluate them?
For those specifically interested in the Member Update only, we will record the candidate presentations and distribute them to all RRC members within a week of the meeting. This ensures that all members have the opportunity to make informed decisions regarding the candidates, even if they cannot attend the meetings in person.
How can I network with RRC colleagues and CRS Designees if I don't attend the meetings?
We recommend attending our flagship conference, Sell-a-bration®, scheduled for February 29-March 2, 2024, in Las Vegas, and in Nashville. This event attracts attendees from over 46 states and 7 countries, making it an unparalleled opportunity to network with fellow CRS Designees and RRC members. Additionally, the MD/DC RRC State Networks organize separate networking events that do not require registration for the RRC meetings, providing another excellent networking opportunity.
If I choose not to attend the meetings, how can I stay informed about committee activities?
To stay informed about RRC committee activities, agendas and minutes are readily available on our website, crs.com, for all members. We encourage members interested in attending the meetings live to pre-register to ensure they have access to the latest information and discussions.
Is it possible to attend just one or two meetings without registering and paying the fee?
To ensure fairness and manage resources effectively, meetings are exclusive to registrants. Once registered, attendees are welcome to participate in any or all scheduled meetings, allowing for a flexible and personalized experience.
