Chicago, IL - The Residential Real Estate Council (RRC) is pleased to announce the appointment of a Vice President of Marketing & Communications. Cheré LaRose, a highly experienced and respected thought leader in strategic communication, marketing branding, and change management, will join the RRC on June 1, 2023.
LaRose’s professional career spans more than three decades, nearly half of which were in various roles in REALTOR® organizations, including the CCIM Institute and the National Association of REALTORS® business specialties such as the Resort and Second Home (RSPS) certification, and as managing director in the commercial real estate division where she spearheaded marketing and communications efforts and collaborated extensively with NAR’s Institutes, Societies and Councils. She comes to RRC with extensive experience in communications, most recently as Communications Director at the Society of Actuaries (SOA). For nearly a decade at SOA, her achievements included successful branding alignment, international expansion, and implementation of multi-channel marketing beyond emails to include social media, video, and paid advertising content strategy.
“I’m excited to be back in the REALTOR® family after a decade and I’m looking forward to combining my past real estate with my non-industry experience to spearhead a new innovative marketing and communications strategy that puts members first and drives engagement with the next generation of REALTORS®”, LaRose said in a statement.
LaRose holds a Master of Liberal Arts from the University of Chicago, a Certificate in Digital Marketing, Data Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence from Northwestern University, and is a proud alum of her undergraduate alma mater, James Madison College at Michigan State University.
“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Cheré as a colleague in NAR’s Commercial Real Estate Division over a decade ago and I’m so excited to work together with her in such a critical role. She is a respected industry thought leader and passionate about serving Realtors, and she is one of those unique individuals who intrinsically understands their needs”, said Jeff Hornberger, CEO of RRC. “Cheré’s addition to our great team delivers on the promise made to RRC to transform our marketing and communications to be innovative, REALTOR®-centric and world-class, cementing RRC as the global gold standard in residential real estate”.
