Tricia Nekota, CRS

Tricia Nekota

Tricia Nekota, born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Chaminade University. After teaching several years, Tricia transitioned into real estate obtaining her license in 2007. Tricia leverages her education background to provide the guidance and information her clients need in order to make healthy decisions. 

Tricia has always been a volunteer at heart. She became a member of the Residential Real Estate Council in 2008 earning her designation in 2010.  She served on various local and state committees. Her leadership responsibilities elevated when she served two consecutive years as the Hawaii RRC President in 2016 and 2017.  She also served as the Secretary for Hawaii REALTORS, the State Association’s Executive Committee, in 2018 & 2019. Tricia was a Director-at-Large for her local board, the Honolulu Board of REALTORS -HBR, in 2018. She was then elected in 2019 as the Incoming President for HBR, served as President in 2020, and currently the Immediate Past President.  She was on NAR’s Conventional Financing & Policy Committee in 2020 and presently on the Member Communications Committee. She has served 3 consecutive years on her local HICentral MLS board as a Director-at-Large beginning in 2019 to present. She graduated in 2018 from the Hawaii Association of REALTORS Leadership Academy. Tricia’s added designations are ABR, BPOR, MRP, PSA, and SRES. 

In 2017, Tricia was one out of ten REALTOR recipients who received an Aloha Aina Award in Honolulu. This award publicly recognizes REALTORS who excel in their real estate profession and provide exemplar services to clients. Tricia was rewarded the honorable Wendell Wong CRS of the Year Award in 2019. 

When people ask Tricia to describe herself. She will respond and say, “I am TERRIFIC.” I am Trustworthy, Ethical, Responsible, Respectful, Imaginative, Fair, have high Integrity, and Care whole-heartedly. Tricia is energized, a visionary, a problem solver and determined to overcome challenges like Mr. Walt Disney, a leader she admires. A quote from Mr. Disney resonates with Tricia, “When you believe in a thing, believe in it all the way, implicitly and unquestionable.” She believes in RRC.
