Alison Wisnom grew up in Sylvania, Ohio, graduated from Tulane University with a degree in Political Science and Biology. I earned an Army ROTC scholarship and served as an Army Signal Officer stationed in South Korea, Ft. Lewis, WA, deployed to El Salvador after Hurricane Mitch, and finally Ft. Meade, MD. I’ve been a Maryland resident since 1999, minus a 5-year escapade in Hawaii.
After military service I owned a commercial furnishings dealership representing U.S. manufacturers focused on government contract sales for 12 years.
I saw working from home trending and moved into real estate in 2011, I have practiced in Hawaii and Maryland, primarily focused on military relocation. I have been a solo agent, a member of a partnership, an assistant manager, and am currently the Team Leader of The Collab at Coldwell Banker Realty. Our shared values include professional excellence, generous sharing, unwavering support of fair housing, and community connection. I have earned various sales awards including the Top 100 Realtors in Hawaii and an assortment of Coldwell Banker production awards.
I began teaching during COVID, and my favorite topics are military relocation, the MRP certification, How to Retire from Real Estate, Ethics, and Accessory Dwelling Units.
Within the RRC, I am the RVP for Region 2 (NY, PA, VA, MD/DC, NJ/DE), previously RVP for Region 9 (AK, WA, OR, MT, ID), and was the President of MD/DC RRC.
My state and local association experiences include being the Presidential Appointment to the Maryland REALTORS® Executive Committee, Board of Directors for the Anne Arundel County Association of REALTORS®, a Maryland Leadership Academy graduate and the winner of both class awards. I’ve served on an assortment of committees, my favorites being Legislative and Education. In 2022 I hosted a 200-person national real estate conference, Genuine Hustle.
While professional accolades are lovely, I’m most honored to be loved by my husband of 25 years and two interesting and compassionate adult children who contribute to this world, and by my ability to enjoy the outdoors hiking, biking, feeling the sun on my face, eating delicious food, and finding as many adventures as possible.
