This is one of five of the CRS Week Chats. Each session will be 20 minutes. In this session, speakers Teresa Pitt, CRS, and Eloise Eriksson Martin, CRS will talk about low inventory, multiple offers and what is going on in their markets.

Current low housing inventory has shaped a market proving to be detrimental to potential buyers, triggering an unfortunate reality check. This pattern has repeatedly produced insane offers and terms directly impacting both buyers and sellers. The market has decidedly tilted in the direction of those with excessive resources and pigeonholed those with modest or limited resources. “Don’t hate the players, hate the game,” has become the all too familiar “norm”.

Meet Teresa

Teresa Pitt, CRS is a native of Eastern North Carolina, 41-year spouse of her high school sweetheart and Air Force Retiree, Dalton, and mother of two wonderful adult sons, Jamaal (PhD) and Anton. Rounding out the family is her lovely daughter-in-law, Camille, and Grandson Cali, and adorable mini dachshund, Mavis. Licensed in 1994, my real estate voyage began in Fayetteville, NC. Because of her husband’s military career, in June of 1997, her family relocated to Raleigh, NC. Service, commitment, loyalty, industry passion, committee involvement, and various leadership roles illustrate her 27-year real estate career.

Teresa credits the bulk of her success to a philosophy she adapted from the start of her journey; treating everyone with the utmost dignity and respect, being completely and totally honest always, and sticking to the “Golden Rule” of doing unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Meet Eloise

Eloise Eriksson Martin, CRS is a second-generation REALTOR and grew up learning the many different areas of real estate, from home building and residential sales to land development and commercial - always knowing the importance of relationships. Eloise and her son, James, have worked together for 15 years, forming a strong working partnership and dynamic team to deliver superior service.

Eloise has served as President of the MetroTex Association of REALTORS (5th largest association) and is serving her third time as Past President Appointee for the Board of Directors. She serves on the Public Policy Infrastructure Committee for the TEXAS REALTORS Association and the Federal Taxation Committee for the National Association of REALTORS. She is the recipient of the NAR – REBAC Hall of Fame, TEXAS REALTORS Distinguished Service Award and the WCR Ebby Halliday Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
