What's hot, what's new in the travel/meeting world?..
Overpacking?
Airlines are cracking down on us overpackers? United has announced that they will only allow passengers one checked bag if flying in coach class. And the price for bags over fify pounds keeps rising. Take control of your over packing by using these tips. Check the ten day forecast and be sure to pack clothes that are easily layered and transition the pieces to coordinate for your evening out. Make a list, check it twice and don't deviate. Pack the basics and throw in a little color to mix and match. Of course you want the creature comforts of home. Don't forget your favorite sweats, a photo of your family or pet; and your ipod. Roll your clothes instead of folding and hide socks, belts, etc in your shoes.
Want a workout?
You just checked into your hotel and need a workout before heading off to meet friends and clients. Many hotels offer a few stationary bikes and a couple of dumbells and call it a "fitness center". Now you can search for hotels that have real gyms at www.athleticmindedtraveler.com.
